About us

A mechanic who turns up

SC Plants and Commercial LTD is a hands-on plant and commercial vehicle repair business. From excavators and telehandlers to HGVs, trailers and vans, the work is done by a qualified, irtec licensed technician — not passed down a chain.

Most jobs are sorted on site with a fully equipped service van, and bigger work comes into the workshop. Servicing, diagnostics, repairs, safety inspections and breakdown call-outs day, night and weekends — with honest advice about what needs doing now and what can wait.

Heavy kit, kept working

Plant machinery repair

Excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers and loading shovels. Hydraulics, engines, transmissions, electrics and welding — diagnosed and fixed on site or in the workshop.

HGV & commercial vehicles

Trucks, trailers and vans kept earning. Servicing, brakes, air systems, clutches, wheel bearing and hub replacements, tacho work and MOT preparation for single vehicles or whole fleets.

Mobile call-outs

Fully equipped service van with diagnostics, tooling and common wear parts. Roadside and site attendance so a breakdown doesn't cost you the week.

Inspections & compliance

Pre-hire and pre-use checks, safety inspections and paperwork you can hand straight to a site manager.

The van arrives loaded with diagnostics, tooling and common parts, so most jobs are sorted in a single visit.

Qualified, licensed and road legal

Properly ticketed for the work, so inspections and paperwork stand up to scrutiny.

irtec licensed

Nationally recognised irtec accreditation for heavy vehicle technicians — inspection and repair work to industry standard.

Full lorry licence

Full HGV driving entitlement, so vehicles and machines can be road tested, collected and delivered.

Driver CPC

Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence, kept up to date with ongoing periodic training.
